About The Huntington Library & Gardens

Located in San Marino, California, The Huntington Library and Gardens is one of Southern California's most exclusive wedding venues. Henry E. Huntington, a railroad magnate who built much of Southern California's early transit system, used the property as his private estate in the early 1900s. In 1919 he signed a deed of trust converting it into a public institution. It opened to the public in 1928, a year after his death. Today it operates as a research library, art museum, and botanical garden spread across 120 acres. The library holds one of the largest collections of rare books and manuscripts in the United States.
