Located in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, Hotel Californian is a wedding venue that has had a presence since it first opened in 1925. Built as a symbol of luxury, the hotel suffered a devastating earthquake just two weeks after its debut, yet it was rebuilt and flourished through the 1930s and ’40s. After years of decline, the site underwent an extensive three-block reconstruction that preserved the original 1925 façade while introducing modern, eclectic design elements, including Moorish-inspired architecture and Mediterranean details. Originally built to welcome travelers drawn to the region’s sun, ocean and wine, the property continues to honor its past while evolving beautifully for today’s celebrations.

That layered history now translates into a setting that is distinguished. With 121 guest rooms, intimate courtyards, rooftop decks and a grand ballroom, the hotel offers a range of spaces suited for everything from smaller gatherings to celebrations of more than 250 guests.
